  • Public Notice - Road Work on Development and Pine Lake Roads

    The Public Works crew is completing work on Development Rd and Pine Lake Rd today September 10, 2025 through the remainder of the week in preparation for upcoming tar and chip application.  Please exercise caution when traveling through these areas and follow all posted road signs and directions from staff.

  • Public Notice - Road Work on Development Road

    The Public Works Department will be completing road work on Development Road on Tuesday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 10. The work will include culvert replacements, ditching, and road preparation for upcoming tar and chip application. Tar and chip application is scheduled to take place Friday, September 12 through Monday, September 15.

  • Public Notice: Tree Down at Young St. and Boisvert St.
    Public Notice: A tree has fallen at the intersection of Young St. and Boisvert St. Staff have cleared the lane and placed cones to ensure traffic safety. Bell has been contacted, as the tree has broken the line in multiple locations. Estimated time of repair, as of the latest update, is 4:00 p.m. today. Please exercise caution when traveling through this area.
  • Public Notice - Brushing on Development

    The Public Works crew will be carrying out brushing operations along Development Road beginning on Tuesday, September 2 through to Friday, September 5, 2025. Work will take place between Mount Pleasant Road and Rutherglen Line. During this time, crews will be trimming and clearing roadside brush to improve visibility, enhance road safety, and maintain proper drainage along the roadway.

    A reminder that the Township Office will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labour Day. Join us for a FREE Movie Night Sunday, August 31 starting with games at 6:30 p.m. followed by Lilo & Stitch (2025) at 8:00 p.m.

  • Household Hazardous Waste Depot - Entrance Location Change

    Did you know that the Township of Bonfield pays annually to ensure that all Bonfield residents have access to the North Bay Household Hazardous Waste Depot? Important Update: The North Bay Household Hazardous Waste Depot has recently changed the location of its entrance. 

  • Public Notice - Fire Rating Moderate

    The Township’s current Fire Rating as of Monday August 25 is Moderate. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, Current Fire Rating page. The Fire Rating is also posted on the signs located at both Fire Station #1 (107 Railway Street) and Fire Station #2 (440 Rutherglen Line).

  • Public Works staff will be working on Line 3 August 22

    Public Works staff will be working on Line 3 Friday August 22, to complete the necessary culvert replacements and installations following the ditching completed last year.
