Speak at a Council Meeting

Anyone wishing to appear before Council as a delegation will be required to: 

  • Inform the Clerk in writing by 12:00 noon the Thursday prior to the Council meeting through email or drop off at the Township office.
  • Explain why you wish to appear before Council setting out the specifics of the presentation.
  • Each delegation shall be limited to speaking not more than 10 minutes. Delegations of 2 or more persons will be permitted 2 speakers with 5 minutes each.
  • A maximum of 3 presentations or delegations is permitted per Council Meeting. 

All requests will receive a response in writing or by phone indicating approval, refusal, deferral or referral. 

Requests can be submitted via email, regular mail, or in person to the Clerk's office.

Anyone wishing to appear before Council during Question Period will be required to: 

  • Submit their question to the Clerk in writing by 12:00 noon the Monday prior to the Council meeting through email or drop off at the Township office. 
  • The submission must be a question seeking general information, not a statement or comment.
  • Only one question per meeting may be submitted by the same individual. 
  • A member of the public submitting a question will be provided with 2 minutes for the opportunity to ask one main question and one follow up clarifying question. 

Requests can be submitted via email, regular mail, or in person to the Clerk's office.
