Community Survey — Bonfield Five-Year Economic Development Strategy

The Township of Bonfield is developing a Five-Year Economic Development Strategy that will guide how the community grows, what the Township invests in, and how we protect what makes Bonfield distinctive. The Community Survey is one of the main ways residents, property-owners, business owners, farmers, and workers can shape that Strategy.

What the survey covers

The survey takes about 10 minutes and asks about:

•          What you value about living in or owning property in Bonfield

•          How you work, commute, and spend

•          Internet and cellular service in your part of the Township

•          Local business, tourism, and the goods and services you’d like to see

•          Priorities and trade-offs for the next five years

•          Growth, character, and what should be protected

•          Your vision for Bonfield in 2031

On paper: pick up a copy at the Township Office. Completed paper surveys can be returned to the collection boxes at the same locations.

Privacy (mirrors Engagement Plan, Appendix G.3)

Your responses are anonymous and voluntary. We collect only what’s needed for the Strategy and store it securely on Canadian servers in line with Canadian privacy law. Don’t include personal details in open-text answers if you wish to stay fully anonymous. An optional email field (kept separate from your answers) lets us send you the results. The data belongs to the Township of Bonfield.

What happens next

Once the survey closes, Qatalyst Research Group will analyze the results alongside input from focus groups, interviews, and a Town Hall, and publish a “What We Heard” summary on this page. That input will directly inform the draft Strategy that goes to Council later in 2026.
