Update 4 - Road Closures
Public Notice:
1. Boxwell Road is currently closed at its western entrance. This closure affects the unmaintained portion of the road. Township staff are actively working on priority road maintenance and will address this area as soon as resources allow. Crews will head out as soon as possible to sign it.
2. A crew from Bonfield Township, in coordination with Evan Hughes, is currently addressing Pine Lake Road.
3. Degagne Aggregates has a crew working on Talon Lake Road.
4. Additionally, the neighbouring municipality of Nipissing Township has dispatched a crew to work on Grand Desert Road.

The Township remains under a state of emergency.
Residents are being asked to stay off of and away from roads that have been impacted by this storm.
Public Works crews are working hard to make some of these roads passable but their progress is being impacted by curious onlookers.
We will provide updates as information becomes available.

The Township remains under a state of emergency.
Crews have been out since last night and there are many roads to repair. There are several homes with no driveways and we have limited resources. Please be patient and know we are working hard to resolve the highest impacted areas. Roads with only one lane open are temporarily repaired, please only use if it's necessary.
We are continuing to receive reports of new road damage since our last patrol. Please continue to report damages to 705-776-2659. A message will be logged and staff will respond as time and priority permits. Our limited crew is actively working so please be patient.
Some parts of the community are still without hydro. Check on any vulnerable neighbours.
Initial Declaration
The Township of Bonfield has declared a state of emergency due to significant rainfall that has closed several roads.
Pine Lake Road has been temporarily repaired for one lane of traffic.
McNutt Road is closed
Talon Lake Road is one Lane
Line 3 is water covered and one lane near tracks
Boxwell Road and South Shore Road have water on the road and sides are washed, but at this moment passable.

EMERGENCY PUBLIC ALERT:
Residents be aware the weather event just experienced has washed out some roads. Crews are out assessing the damage. Pine Lake Road is washed out and McNutt Road as well. As we discover more we will update you here. Please call 705-776-2659 to report any concerns.
